Effect of PGPR and Biogas Slurry on Growth and Yield Parameters of Pea under Salt Affected Conditions

Salt stress is a significant abiotic plant growth restrictive factor; it becoming severe environmental threat. The microorganism in the rhizosphere especially fungi and bacteria can increase production under conditions both by direct indirect mechanisms. A field experiment was conducted to evaluate potential of biogas slurry promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) at different levels salinity improve yield pea (Pisum sativum ). In @ 600 kg ha-1 800 PGPR strain “bacillus subtilis” applied along with 6 dS m-1 8 salt addition recommended doses nitrogen, potassium phosphorus fertilizer. results revealed that combined application normal soil increased shoot length 30.27% while saline up-to 65.27%. Soil reduced root 79.155% as compared control. Application improved 5.93% respective control, on other hand 33.128% 73.53%.Soil chlorophyll content 36.54% decrease stress, same condition 29.26% but enhanced contents 4.68% solely slurry. clearly indicated best source enhance well stress.
